Ice TIlda

Happy Monday all!

Today's card no way represents the weather we're having here in the Midwest. Here in Kansas City today it's supposed to be 65 degrees!

I will be entering this card into the Just Magnolia challenge.

The base card is white Bazzill card stock and measures 5 3/4 inches square. All other papers (except for the paper for the image) are designer papers from Little Yellow Bicycle. I just love this paper for winter scenes. I'll have to stop by local scrapbook store and get more as I think I'm running low :)

Ice Tilda is from Magnolia stamps has been stamped on Cryogen White card stock. She has been stamped using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with Copics. I'll list the Copics at the end of this post.

I also used from Magnolia stamps one of the snowflakes from the Sweet Christmas dreams collection. I masked Tilda and with a sponge applied Brilliance Pearlscent Sky Blue ink around Tilda. This was done after I cut out Tilda using a Labels 10 Nestability. After sponging around Tilda, I stamped the snowflakes using the same Sky Blue ink.

The sentiment from Sweet and Sassy stamps was stamped using the Sky Blue ink.

The three snowflakes were punched using a Martha Stewart snowflake punch. Multiple rhinestones were used and they were from multiple companies.

I added Crystal Stickles to Tilda in various places.

That's it for today. Until next time, may God bless!

Red, White, Blue, and Gold Birthday card

A simple card for you today. I saw this one on Splitcoaststampers earlier today and I had to make a version. No stamping! Just using a Cuttlebug for the embossing and cutting three stars with a Nestability.

All card stock is shimmer paper. The base card is white shimmer and is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4. The next level is blue shimmer card stock that is 5 1/4 by 4. The next level is gold mirror card stock (it sure is mirroring me and other stuff in my craft room). It's 5 X 3 3/4. That piece has been embossed using the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder. I've used a corner rounder on both the blue and gold mirror gold stock. I cut three stars out of blue, red, and white shimmer card stock using a star Nestability. On the center of each star and at each corner of the card is a gold rhinestone.

Now back to my craft room to continue organizing and maybe do another card.

Blessings all!

Ski Jump Fun

Happy Saturday everyone! It's a beautiful day here in Kansas City. For the last of January, the weather is beautiful. Yesterday's rain/snow was a non-event for those of us here the Kansas City area.

Yesterday while blog hopping, I found several challenges that I wanted to participate in. I have had this image from Lili of the Valley stamped and the only thing that was colored was the little guys face. So with my thoughts towards three challenges, I explored some ideas online and made this card.

The stamp is from Lili of the Valley and it is stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with Copics. The sentiment stamp is from Sweet and Sassy and it is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

The card base is a rich brown from Bazzill and so is the aqua card stock. The base card is 5 3/4 inches square. The designer paper is from Bo Bunny's 6 x 6 paper pad called snow fall. I've used Martha Stewart punches for the snowflake border and another Martha Stewart snowflake punch for the snowflake in the upper left hand corner of the page. The stamped image and sentiment were both pop dotted to give dimension to the card. Crystal Stickles was added to the snowflakes punches and to the snow in the stamped image. My photography does not show it very well, but little pearls are in every other snow flake on the border. I've used a brown ribbon which is bordered in silver also on the card.

Here's a list of challenges I'm entering with this card:

Christmas Card Challenge Week 8 which is Color: Christmascardchallenge.blogspot.com
CMC Copic Challenge 35 which is Frosty, Icy, Cold projects: Scrapbizcopics.ning.com/group/cmccopicchallengegroup

Tilda with hanging heart ornament

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm a little excited today. Snow may be in the forecast for this evening. We've only had .4 of an inch over the entire winter. It might end up being only rain as it's not supposed to get that cold this evening. I do have a crop tonight, but bring on the weather. After all my truck has 4 wheel drive!

Today's card uses Magnolia stamp Tilda with a hanging heart ornament. I saw a cute Christmas card made with it the other day and was going to duplicate it, but I wanted to try my Martha Stewart punch around border. I still haven't got the hang of them yet, so this card only utilizes the corner punch.

The base card is 5 3/4 inch square of Bazzill Kraft card stock. The designer paper is from a 6 x 6 pad from a We R Memory Keepers Valentine's day pad. The pink paper is also from Bazzill.

Tilda has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. I also colored some white pearls with B24 to try and match the blue in the designer paper. I've used Crystal Stickles on Tilda's wings and Gold Stickles on the hanging heart.

Copics Used:

Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20
Hair: E25, E33, E51, and a wash of Y000
Dress: R85, R83, R81
Blue: B00, B0000

I'm hoping to get a lot of coloring done tonight at the crop and then complete the cards tomorrow. Have a great day/weekend everyone!

Poodles of Love

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today's card is one of the two make 'n takes from this past weekend at Stamper's Ink. The stamps are from Inky Antics. I finished fine up slightly different than the original...mainly the twine treatment. I also added a touch of Diamond stickles on the heart above the sentiment.

The poodle image has Copic C1 around it. That's the only coloring done on this card. After that some more Diamond stickles was added around the poodle.

I'm still waiting for Tanya to post the Card Tournament challenge pictures from Saturday. Once those are up, I'll post a picture of card and beg for your boat. Oh yeah, I'm also going to have to wait on the other make and take too as it utilized one of the new release Riley's and I think they come out this Thursday.

Well, I better get dressed. I want to make a birthday card for a friend whose birthday was yesterday. We'll be getting together on Thursday for Mexican food at one of our favorite places. I also saw some cute cards in some of the magazines I recently purchased and I want to see where that inspiration takes me.

Blessings all!

Right Through The heart Tilda

Happy Monday! Did you survive the weekend? I did. Saturday was my busy day. I had the card design tournament Saturday morning at Stamper's Ink. Then I did the two make and takes at that store, but finished them up at home on Saturday. Then Saturday evening I played in a Poker tournament to raise funds for a great niece's (Haley) softball team. It was fun. Four of us from the Malec/Waters family participated in the No Limit Hold'em tournament. We all made it past the first break. My niece Misty was the first family member eliminated. Then Caden, my great nephew was eliminated. Then me. Misty's husband, Big Bob, was still playing and I think they were down to three tables at that time. I did get a $50 gift certificate. Wish it was to a scrapbook/craft store, but it's to Dick's Sporting Goods, so I may have to buy some new tennis shoes with it.

Yesterday was a chill out day. I watched the football games. I was going to be happy with whoever won as I liked all four teams.

I know that I have been promising to post my card for the card design tournament, but I want to wait until Tanya posts them on her store's website. Then believe me I'll me asking/begging for everyone's vote.

Today's card is one I finished this morning. I've used Right through the Heart Tilda from Magnolia stamps. The card is 5 3/4 inch square. It uses white Bazzill card stock as the base. Then a piece of 5 1/2 inch square kraft card stock from Bazzill. I used a piece of Bazzill pink card stock for the heart circle nestability cut out. The circle dp is from We R Memories. The baker's twine is from Doodlebug. The "Love Ya" sentiment is from Hero Hearts. The three hearts in the left corner are leftovers from the Nestability die and I put Diamond stickles on them.

Right Through the Heart Tilda was stamped onto Cryogen White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. They will be listed at the end of this post.

I hope everyone has a blessed week. I'll be back tomorrow with another card as I have three ready :)

Copics used:

Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20
Hair: E25, E33, E51
Bow and Arrows: B06, B04, B02, B00
Dress and leg wraps: RV06, RV04, RV02, RV00

Wild Thing Tilda

Sunday Blessings to Everyone!

It's a dreary day here in KC, but at least it's above freezing.

This is the second card that I made last Friday evening while cropping. Thanks to Susan at the Scrapbook Page for suggesting the ribbon.

The stamp is from Magnolia stamps and is called Wild Thing Tilda. She is so adorable. She is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Copics.

The card is 5 3/4 inch square and the base card is a green Bazzill card stock. I don't remember the manufacturer's name for the designer paper. I also don't remember the Copics I used to color Tilda. Is it old age or I was just having so much fun, I didn't right now the information...the latter for sure!

I crop with some wonderful ladies!

See ya tomorrow with another card which is my entry into the Stamper's Ink card tournament.

God's blessings today and always!

Koala Tilda

Happy Saturday! It's already been a busy Saturday morning for me. I went to my local stamp store, Stamper's Ink, this morning to participate in their card tournament. Each month 12 individuals can come in and design a card for a monthly tournament. Tanya, the store owner, will then post them on Facebook and the store's blog for individuals to vote on the best card of the month. Then in December, the winner's will face off and make another card and that person will be the card tournament champion for 2012. So on Monday, I'll post a picture of my card here and beg, I mean ask, for your vote.

Then after making my card for the tournament I did the stamping that was necessary for the store's two make n' take cards today. I should have pictures of them later this week as I need to finish putting them together.

Now about today's card. I made it last night at a crop at Scrapbook Page. I love miss Tilda here holding a Koala bear. The stamp is called Koala Tilda and is from Magnolia stamps. I stamped her using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored most of the Tilda and the Koala with my Copics. See below for the list of Copics used. I paper pieced Tilda's and had and uniform with the same designer paper as I used on the card. The base card is 5 3/4 inches square and is a dark brown Bazzill paper. I tied some green twine into a bow on the card. The photo corners are from an embellishment pack I bought last night at the crop.

Tomorrow I'll share with you another Tilda card that I made last night and it is so cute, I can barely wait to share.

Until then, may you be blessed!

Christmas Candle

Yes, I know Christmas is over. However, a couple of weeks ago I saw this cute Lili of the Valley stamp on a beautiful pink and white card which was quite elaborate with flowers and flourishes. I decided to try and make mine a little less elaborate.

The image is Christmas Candle which was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black. I stamped it and colored with Copics a couple of weeks ago and I didn't write the Copic numbers down as I had planned to finish it the next day after a crop. Well, I didn't quite make it.

The base card is a 5 3/4 inch square of Bazzill card stock. The next layer is a gold mirror paper. I created the next paper layer using a 5 1/2 inch piece of glossy card stock and used the polished stone method with alcohol inks, watermelon, shell pink, cranberry, raisin, and gold.

The tree is a die cut from Marianne Designs. I've also used dew drops in gold and clear. Some Crystal stickles was added to the little caroler's hood, pom poms, and for snow.

Thanks for looking and blessings always!

Cake Glorious Cake!

Happy Thursday everyone!

My days keep getting away from and I really don't know where they go...other than I'm on my computer a lot.

Last week I was at a local stamp store when they got in the new issue of Scrap and Stamp magazine. Of course having Lily of the Valley stamps on the cover caught my eye. The store owner told me that inside the issue were instructions on how to water color with Distress inks refills. That's a technique I have wanted to learn. So that issue of the magazine came home with me.

The store will have a class in March, but me I couldn't wait. I just had to get started learning the technique.

No offense to the person who did the article, but to me it lacked some information (like what ink to stamp with). That lack of information caused me to hit Google to find info regarding water coloring with Distress inks. I was so happy to see I didn't have to have every Distress ink refill and that I could use my Distress ink stamp pads.

So with supplies in hand and one of the Lili stamps featured in the magazine, I tried this first one using the article in Scrap and Stamp as my guide. To me it's not too bad for my first attempt.

The stamp is from Lili of the Valley and is titled Cake Glorious Cake. The card itself is a 5 3/4 inch square and is white Bazzill card stock. The DP is from a Bo Bunny pad from several years ago. The image was stamped using Ranger Archival Jet Black ink.

I don't know how many times I will water color versus using my Copics, but it's always could to expand my knowledge of techniques.

Now for a health update! In May of this year it will be three years after my surgery for cancer of the uterus. Last Friday, I had my pap and today I got a call that all is well. Thanks for everyone's prayers. I have been blessed to know that there are prayers said for me.

May God bless you as much and more than he has blessed me!

Rose Scent Tilda

Happy Thursday everyone! I saw a really cute blog post yesterday by a lady name Claudia that inspired my card design today. I used the new Rose Scent Tilda and the I Love You from the Crazy Love release from Magnolia stamps. I'm still learning how to mask images, but slowly I'm getting the hang of it. All images were stamped used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.

The base card is 5 7/8 " square. The solid red and black card stock are from Bazzill. The Magnolia images were stamped on Cryogen white cards stock.

For the inside of the card, the sentiment is from Hero Arts. The desiger paper is from Echo Park from the 6 x 6 Yours Truly stamp pad.

My copic markers fell off of my desk yesterday so I'm not sure if I have the rights ones listed below. Mojo tried to help me gather them up, but he thought he should take them into the hall instead of leaving them here in my room :)

Ribbon TIlda

I can't believe I forgot to post the card. I can't even blame the new year. Must preoccupied with who knows what. Anyway all the details regarding the card are in the post below.

Ribbon Tilda

Happy New Year Everyone!

Here in Kansas we're having wonderful weather. I'm sure later this month we'll have normal Kansas weather of snow and extreme cold.

My neighbor has been assisting me cleaning up my garage and my basement. He knows I make cards and requested a card for his granddaughter's birthday party this coming Saturday.

I stamped Ribbon Tilda using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Cryogen White paper and colored the image with Copics. I also colored the white flower ribbon with Copic R24. The glitter design paper was in my stash so I'm not sure of the manufacturer. The card is 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 and is red Bazzill card stock.

When I was cutting out Tilda I accidently cut off some of the leaves from the rose, but hey no one knows but me and those of you who know your Tilda stamps :)

I also must mention that this card design was created by Barb Foster at The Scrapbook Page. I just change papers and changed the color of the rose.

Skin: E27, E25, E23, E00, R20
Hair: T7, T5, T3
Salmon/Peach: R24, R22, R21, R20
Leaves: YG03, YG03
Rose: Y19, Y17, Y15, Y13

Have a blessed day everyone!
