First Christmas card of 2013

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Yesterday, I was in the mood to make a Christmas card.  I had purchased quite a few of the new Memory Box dies earlier in July and hadn't even opened any of the packages.   So it was time to open up a package or two and get started.

In my stash of paper, I found a pretty blue snowflake paper from last year's Bo Bunny winter collection and I knew what I wanted to do.  I took a piece of Stampin' Up's Island Indigo paper and used the Grand Christmas sentiment on it.  I then took my favorite Christmas Magnolia stamp, Santa's Little Helper Tilda, inked her up and then colored her with my Copics.  At the bottom of this post, I'll put the Copics I used.

My original intent was to have her sitting with her hands on top of the Island Indigo paper.  However, when I positioned her there her feet covered the A and S of Christmas.  So I move her up to look like she is standing on those two letters.

I also used one of the new Memory Box snowflakes.  On top of the "I" and in the middle of the snowflake, I put rhinestones.  On Tilda's Santa's hat, I used some glitter flocking from Martha Stewart.

Have great day everyone.  Thank you for looking and God bless!

Copics:  Hair:  E35, E33, E51
             All Blues:  B39, B37, B34, and B32.
             Greys:  C1, and C00

Hero Arts Thank You

Happy Saturday all!

Just got back from going down to Gardner, Ks.  to do their make n' take today.  The above card is not it.  Instead it was cute Prima doll tag.  I must admit I'm addicted to those little dolls.  They'll start showing up here on my blog soon.

I had an order for ten Thank You cards from my sister-in-law Dixie and I am happy to say I completed and delivered the order to her last night.   I had made six cards previous to yesterday so yesterday was spent making and completing six cards.  The above card is one of them.

The Hero Arts image was stamped with Versamark ink on to a piece of Blend It - Express paper and then heat embossed with a gold detail embossing powder.   I then colored the flowers with my Copics.  I used B97, B95, B93, B91 on the flowers.  For the green stems and leaves, I used YG09 and YG07.

The blue oval is from Stampin' Up along with the punch I used for the oval with the Thank you sentiment.  I believe that sentiment is from Hero Arts.   Around that oval I used blue Liquid Pearls.  The pearls under the oval were once white, but to make them blend with the coloring I used Copic marker B97 to color them.  The blue card stocks are from Stampin' Up.

Take care all and have a beautiful day.   God Bless!

Hi everyone!

The above card is fresh from my craft desk.

I saw this card on Pinterest this morning and I fell in love with the bright colors.  The stamp set is Wildflower Meadow and it is from Stampin' Up!   The lady who made the inspiration card used Stampin' Up inks that I didn't have so I used a Kaleidacolor pad called Spectrum.

My base card is purple card stock from Recollections.  I then have a layer of Georgia Pacific white card stock.  I've also used the same white card stock for my stamped image.  I stamped the image onto the card stock with Versamark ink.  I then used a detailed white embossing powder and used my heat toll to emboss the card..  I used a brayer to add the colors.  Using a paper towel I then wipe away any excess.  After that I used the Wildflower Meadow embossing folder to give the card some texture.

I added purple seam binding to the card.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Well best publish this so I can contact my Stampin' Up pal to get the inks that were originally used.

Take care and God bless!

Hey Sassy Pants - Happy Birthday

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I meet my cousin, Gai for lunch at one of the local Mexican food places we really like.  We are celebrating our July birthdays.  Mine was the 13th and Gai's was the 17th.  The above card is her birthday card.  Gai is a couple of years older than I am and has to me always had a sassy attitude (in a nice way).

I stamped the image which is Pure Innocence image from My Favorite Things.  I colored her skin, hair, flower in her hair and shoes with Copics.  I paper pieced her dress.  All designer papers are from Simply Stories.  I add a touch of Liquid Pearls to the flower in the little girls hair and to each side of the sentiment.  I really hope Gai loves her card.

Take care all and God bless!

Wedding card

Hi everyone!

Here's a wedding card that I made from some Graphic 45 paper and stamps from Taylored Expressions.  The papers are from Secret Garden 8 x 8 paper pack.

I've used blue seam binding around the center of the card.  Such a simple card to make.  If I know a bride's color scheme, I can always do a card in those colors.

Take care everyone and God bless!

Hi everyone!  Where the time go?  It's already the 16th and I haven't updated this blog since the 10th.  Good Grief Charlie Brown.

I did have a fun weekend as I celebrated my birthday with stamping friends at a stamping expo in Overland Park, KS.  Can't wait to start trying out some of the stuff I bought.

Today's card is one where I colored the sunflower back in the spring.  It's from Flourishes stamps.  I paired it up with some Graphic 45 French Country papers.  The sentiment is also from the Flourishes set.   I add some Stickles (diamond) to the center of the sunflower and put some Glossy Accents on the lady bug.  And oops looks like I've lost a rhinestone in the bottom right hand corner of the mat around the sentiment.  Definitely have to fix that before my craft show in August.

Well back to finding more inspiration on Pinterest and hopefully getting around to making some cards for my inventory.

Take care all and God bless!

Poppy Thank You

 Hi all!

Here's another Thank you card I made for an order that wanted some Thank You cards.  I've used my favorite die cut from Memory Box, the poppy die.  I cut it out of Blend It - Express paper and colored the poppies with my Copics so they would have the colors that are in the designer paper.  The DP is from Graphic 45 and is from their Birdsong papers.

The sentiment is from Sweet & Sassy stamps.  I also added rhinestones at each corner.

I've got some more cards made, I just need to photograph them.

Take care all and God bless!

Thanks so much

Hi everyone.  Hope you had a good holiday and weekend.  I know I did.

Couple of the local stamp and scrapbook stores received the Memory Box die cut release this past week and I picked up my new die cuts on Friday.  I can't wait to start working on my Christmas holiday designs.  I've already entered my new dies into the spreadsheet and each of them have been stored in their respective box and on magnetic sheets.   I haven't started making new stuff yet as I'm trying to straighten up a bit before I get started.

Today's card is one I made to take to Ink Paper Rubber on consignment.  Jen had informed me she was out of thank you cards so I put this one together along with another that I will share tomorrow.

The stamp and sentiment is from Sweet & Sassy stamps set called Flower Block 2.  I stamped the image onto Blend-It Express card stock and colored the image with my Copics.  The black square was cut with Spellbinders squares.  I've used some diamond Stickles on the center of the flower.  The red pearls are from my stash.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day.

When I am old

Happy Independence Day everyone!

I finished up three cards earlier this week and they have been taken to Ink, Paper, Rubber in Overland Park, KS on consignment.

This first card uses My Favorite Thing/Pure Innocence Diva.

I was making this card for my cousin's birthday later this month, but I think I'll use a different stamp for her card.

I copied the When I am old I shall wear purple poem into Microsoft Word and printed it on white card stock.  I've used a Sizzix embossing folder on the purple.

After I had stamped the little Diva using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored her with Copics.  I then cut her out.  I added Glossy Accents to her shoes, Liquid Pearls - Opal to the pearls, and a purple Liquid Pearls to the center of the flower on her hat and on the clasp on her purse.  I used Martha Stewart red flock with glitter on her boa.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.

I'll share the other two cards with you over the next few days.

Take care and stay safe this evening.  God bless!
