Believe in Yourself

I follow Bev Rochester's blog everyday. I love the images she uses on her cards and this is a new image that she used earlier this week. This image is a digital image from a company in England called Charmed Cards and Gifts. It's from a set of images called Let it Shine and the set also has the sentiment that I used on this card.

I made this card for a young lady who is attending her Sophomore year of college at K-State. She recently transferred from Arkansas university. I thought this a perfect image and sentiment for a college student.

I used the following Copics for coloring the image:

Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20 (blush) and RV02 (lips). I also used a pink Spica pen on her lips. The eyes are B12.

Earrings: Blue Spica pen

Shirt: V17, V12
Shorts: B16, B14, B12
Hair: E33, E31, E51 with a wash of Y11
Shadow: B000, B0000

Fairy with Flowers

I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Today's card features an image from Lili of the Valley (LOTV). I don't own the stamp...yet. It's ordered, but hasn't made it across the "pond" as the English say. Last Thursday, my muse told me to stop at JoAnn's to see if the Bristish card magazine August issues had arrived. They had and in the August issue of Papercraft Inspirations was a pad of twenty of the LOTV images. Needless to say that magazine was definitely in my basket and paid for within minutes. I even got home and e-mail a couple of friends that I know who also like LOTV stamps that the magazine and images were available.

I wanted to save the images from the magazine so I copied selected ones onto some my Cryogen white paper and took them with me to a crop on Friday night to color.

I love this Fairy with Flowers. I am going to enter the card in the LOTV challenge this week as the challenge wants cards with roses.

The base card is 5 3/4 inch square and is white Bazzill. The pink is either cameo or petalsoft also from Bazzill. The designer paper is from Echo park and is from their 6 X 6 pad called Victoria gardens. I love these papers. I have a class tonight at one of my local scrapbook stores and I bet either the 12 X 12 pad or individual sheets will be in my basket tonight.

I'm afraid I don't remember all the Copics I used for this image. I do remember that the pinks were in the RV0000 to RV08 family. I used stardust Stickles on the fairy wings and on her crown. The rose in the upper right had corner is from Recollections and it too has had some stardust Stickles added to it.

Indian Summer

I hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday!

I have a stamp club meeting coming up in a couple of weeks and our challenge is to make cards with an Indian Summer theme. To me that means all the beauty of the harvest.

I bought this beautiful Northwoods' fall stamp yesterday at Stamper's Ink. I had looked on their blog to see what the make n' takes were and saw that they had received the new Northwoods Fall stamp board. Northwood s stamps are always so beautiful. Their sample board always shows how to color their stamps using Tombow markers and parchment paper. However, on this one I used my Copics.

I used a picture from the Northwoods website as a guide for coloring this beautiful fall image. I've added Stardust Stickles to the pumpkins and add Glossy Accents to the milk jug.

The card is 5 3/4 inch square and the base card is white Bazzill. The other designer papers are from Bo Bunny. The ribbon is from my stash. The rhinestones are Hero Arts.

The image was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cryogen white card stock.

I did good this week. The only day I missed posting was Tuesday. I planning on keeping my posting up to date. I have three more lovely images colored. Now I have to find papers from my stash and figure out a layout for each of them. Knowing me I'll be coloring more images as I still have several Lili of the Valley, Stampavie, CC Designs, and Magnolia stamps that are calling to be inked and colored.

Some Puppy Love for Christmas

Happy Saturday!

I finished up the above card this morning and I'm really loving it. I love the new Christmas images from Lili of the Valley Stamps (LOTV). This one is called Christmas Puppy.

By using the Martha Stewart punch on the green Prism card stock, I was hoping to make it seem like the puppy and packages are sitting under the Christmas tree.

I cut out the Christmas ornament using a Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament die cut. On it I stamped a design and a sentiment form JustRite stamps set called Deck the Halls and it embossed it using some Ranger gold embossing powder. My photography isn't the greatest so the sentiment is not real clear in photograph. It says "Sending Love at Christmas".

I colored the LOTV Christmas puppy image earlier this week and I forgot to write down the Copic markers I used...I just remember that there were lots of markers used to get the shading :)

The rhinestones are from Hero Arts.

Christmas Trees

Good morning everyone. I am trying to do better posting here on my blog. I've made it three days in a row :)

Finally a rainy day here in KCK. Gratefully it's cooler. I was definitely tired of temps being in the upper 90's and 100's. Hopefully I'll get some cards done today. I'm doing a lot of coloring of images, but trying to find the right papers to go with them to me is a daunting task. So until I get some of those cards completed, I'll continue to share cards made in recent classes.

Today's card is one that was designed at Stamper's Ink for one of their second Christmas in July class.

This card utilizes the polished stone technique which is one I dearly love. We used alcohol inks and a Krylon gold pen on a piece of glossy card stock. The inks were Bottle, Lettuce, and Citrus.

The tree images are from Hero Arts. The larger tree was stamped using a Memento green ink. I apologize as I don't remember the color name. The smaller tree was stamped using Adirondack bottle ink. Both trees were cut out. Copic marker E37 was used to color the trunks on both trees. The smaller tree was popped up.

My friend Liz decided that something else was needed on the smaller tree so she added some Stardust Stickles glue. Wow what an impact. In places on the tree, the ink became a lovely shade of blue.

Happy Fall

Is this a cute card? It was one of four cards that was in the Pure Innocence class yesterday at Stamper's Ink. Because I like to do more coloring and shading with my Copics, I don't finish the cards in class, but bring them home to complete.

The stamp is from My Favorite Things. The solid color papers are from Prism. The polka dot paper is Bo Bunny. The three pieces of paper have been embossed using three different embossing folders from Cuttlebug.

The little girl and the Happy Fall sentiment were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. My llist of Copics that I used will be at the end of this post.

I used a gold dew drop embellishment for the sign. The sign is hung with Baker's Twine.

The girl's dress was colored with YG03 and then I used my blender to make the criss crosses. I really love that the card designer added this to little technique to the card.

I used red Stickles on the hair decoration after coloring it with R29. There's a red heart brad on her dress. I used Liquid Pearls silver on the buckles of her shoes and glossy accents also on her shoes.

New stamps mean new cards :)

Wow it's been awhile since I posted.

I've been reorganizing my stamps and my other card making materials and that has taken me away from me updating my blog. I've been taking lots of classes so as I finish some of those cards up, they'll start appearing here. Since my stamp room is such a mess, I've been finishing them up at a crop at a local scrapbook store on Friday evenings.

However, today's card is not one that I made in a class. I've been buying the latest releases from Lili of the Valley stamps (LOTV) which is a company in England. I just had to clear a spot at my computer desk to color and complete this card.

Today's card features a stamp from their July release that was all about girls. This one is called Millie Flower Power. She was stamped on Cryogen White paper using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I don't remember all the colors I used, but the ones that I do will be at the end of this post.

This is a square card that measures 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 inches. The base card is white card stock and is from Bazzill. Also from Bazzil is the solid pink card stock that is called petal soft. The designer paper is from Making Memories and is in a 6 X 6 paper pad called "Just Chillin".

The punch is from Martha Stewart. I ran a ribbon from Bo Bunny through it. I used Stardust Stickles on the center of the flower.

I used a Nestability die-cut to cut the star and stamped it with Hi There (company unknown).

I tried using a technique that I recently learned from Julie Case on how to make clouds. I used Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink for them. I think I need more practice :)
