It's so hot so I'm trying to cool down by making fall cards. Stamper's Ink has received lots of new fall stamps especially from Inkadinkado.
The card with Riley as Dracula is one I'm calling Count Riley. I used Black card stock as the base card. I then used a piece of card stock and using Martha Stewarts punch of blood drops, I layered it on top of the black card. The tan piece with blood drops is from a pack of paper I bought yesterday from Michael's. However, I think you could get the same effect my using Alcohol inks and placing drops of the ink onto the paper. The Count Dracula adverisement is from Inkadinkado. Count Riley is from Riley and Company. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. The bats are from a Martha Stewart corner punch.
Just a note to myself, alway remember to block the bench with a box or something. Otherwise, Mojo, my 18 month old Shih Tzu jumps on the bench and grabs one of my markers and runs in the living room with it. Earlier I caught him with E35 and couldn't find the caps. Luckily I found them. The ink dried out, but I know I can refill the marker tonight at work for $2.
The other card is from sketch I saw in one of my books. I'm not quite satisfied with it...especially the green circle. I may redo it with the same card stock as the base card, but when I was playing with it yesterday I thought it was too much brown. Oh well, with this hobby there are no mistake, just a chance to embellish! The background leaf flourish and saying are from Great Impressions and the Indian corn is from Inkadinkado.
