Card for card shower for my friend Jim Lundy

The above card is a reproduction of a card that I saw at Ink, Paper, Rubber in Overland Park, KS.   It's going to be one of the cards I'm going to have for sale at BCBSKC for a $1.00.  That price will be for folks who will buy a card so we can shower my friend Jim Lundy with cards.  He's been on medical leave from work for cancer treatment.

I will be at BCBSKC this Friday, August 3rd,  for a craft show from 10 to 2.  Hopefully we'll get quite a few cards ready to send to Jim.

This card features the poppy die cut from Memory box.  Both designer papers are also from Memory Box.

Have a blessed day everyone!

Thinking of you all!

Wow, it's hot outside.  It's still 105 outside at 8 in the evening.  I've got to take trash out, but I think I'll wait a bit.  I think I heard that the trash company will be starting their routes at 6 a.m. so I have to get my trash out tonight as I don't want to get up that early!

I've been enjoying the Olympics.  However, this evening turned on the TV and no sound.  It's that way on all channels so it the problem must be with my TV.  Rats!   Nothing I can do about it now.   I wonder if I can TV on my desktop or laptop?  Might have to be something I investigate on the 1st when pay day finally gets here.

Today's card features two dies from Memory box die cuts.  It pretty well match a card I saw on Pinterest.  I can spend so much time on that site getting inspiration.

Take care and God bless!

Wow 2 weeks!

Wow two weeks since my last post.  Time just flies by.

I got to admit that last week, I didn't feel like doing much at all.  I hurt my back somehow while cropping on Friday, July 6th.  I had a massage scheduled for last Tuesday and Kris thought I had a pinched nerve.  I probably should have headed to the doctor, but after the massage I felt so much better.   It has hurt off and on since then, but today I'm feeling real good.

Our Wednesday group last week had another card swap.  Above is the card I made as my sample for the card.  Well not quite.  My sample was lost.  It probably made it home with someone else.  So this is my friend Julie Case's card that she made from a kit I prepared.

It features two butterflies dies from Memory Box and Nestability labels.

We made 10 cards that day.  We had our largest group of ladies last week...11 of us.   We can be rowdy, but I think the Scrapbook Page likes having us there.

Speaking of the Scrapbook Page, we had my 62nd birthday party there was Friday night.  We had a blast.  Shannon brought strawberry short cake and Marg brought a wonderful lemon cake from HyVee.  We had so much fun.  The Page even brought in BBQ from Bates City BBQ.

I guess I better quit this post and start doing other things today.  I do have more card pictures to share over the next few days so it won't be another two weeks.

Take care everyone, stay cool, and God bless!
