Happy Birthday Misty

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was very nice.

Here's the card I made for my niece Misty for her 40th birthday.  I used one of my favorite stamps from Penny Black.  It is on a clear set called Critter Party, but I also remember having a wood mount one too.  Once I had the clear stamp, I sold the wood mounted stamp.

I just love this little doggie.  The stamp can be used with almost any sentiment.

I stamped the dog and the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the dog with Copics.  I used E37, E35, E33 on the dog.  After coloring him, I used some blender solution on a piece of sock and dabbed the dog.  This gives the illusion of fur.  I also added some black flocking to his nose.

The signer paper is from Authentique.  I also used rhinestones down the center of the black strip.  The numbers were die cut using a Memory Box number set.

Take care everyone and God bless.

For a dear friend

Hi everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday.  Later today I'll be heading over my sister-in-law's house to celebrate my niece Misty's 40th birthday.  I've got a card made for her that I'll share tomorrow.  Since I also post my cards on Facebook, I don't want her to see her card online until after we celebrate.  So the above card is not her birthday card.

I've used another flower image from Sweet & Sassy's Flower Block 1 set.  The tulip image has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I used five different yellows on the tulip (Y19, Y17, Y15, Y13, and Y11).  There's a little green in the bottom right corner which are YG17 and YG13.  I've used BG01 to go around the tulip and then flicked BG000 out from the BG01.

I've used one of my favorite blue Bazzill card stock, Island Breeze for a mat.  I used a pretty jewel tone yellow and dry embossed it using a Stampin Up embossing folder with tulips on it.  The sentiment is also from the Sweet & Sassy Flower Block 1 set.

Be back tomorrow with Misty's birthday card to share.  Take care and God bless!

Blessings to you

Happy Friday all!

Here's a card I did earlier in the week featuring one of the Flower Block 1 stamps from Sweet & Sassy.  The design of the card is a layout of of their designer's cards featuring this stamp.

The flower block 1 set has four flowers on it four nice sentiments.  I stamped the lily using Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with Copics.  Pinks are:  RV06, RV04, RV02, and RV00.  The two greens are YG17 and YG13. I flicked BG01 and BG000 around the outside of the image.

I used white seam binding for the bow and several Hero Arts clear rhinestones.  I should have the tulip image used on a card tomorrow.

Take care all and God bless!

Whee!

Happy Monday all!

Whee!  Can't you just feel the breeze as she swings by?  I have fallen in love with My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line of stamps.  You will be seeing more cards using stamps by that company as I have bought several sets.

This sweet little girl was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  The designer paper is from K and Company.

The flower and the pearl are from Hero Arts.

Take care all and God bless!

Tilda with love cake

Happy Sunday everyone!

Here's a card I made on Friday for my cousin Gai to give to her granddaughter for her 2nd birthday on 4/11.

From the With love collection from Magnolia stamps, I stamped using Memory Box Tuxedo black ink Tilda with love cake and colored the image with Copics.  Gai's granddaughter loves pinks and purples.

I used a Spellbinders die cut for the hearts circle.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I had dinner Friday evening with Gai and I know she really loved this card for Miss Ruby.

Take care everyone!

New Memory Box

Hi everyone!

We're finally getting some beautiful spring weather here in Kansas City.  I just heard some motorcycles drive by.  They're heading down to Wyandotte County lake.  It's 75 and sunny.  A perfect though windy day.

Today's been a fun day.  I started my day out at a Stampin' Up get together with a bunch of BCBSKC friends.  We made some cards that had motion to them.  Really fun to get together with those gals that I used to see everyday.  Most of them are retirees too.

After that get together, I had to make another stop at The Scrapbook Page to see if they had a couple of new Memory Box dies that I hadn't bought yet.  Those dies were speaking to me with card ideas so I had to get them at the 25% off price since The Scrapbook Page will be closing their doors later this month.

One of the ones I had to get was the Wild Sunflower.  The above card is made with that die cut.  I cut the sunflower out of some jewel tone yellow card stock.  I also used that same yellow jewel tone paper behind the black card stock.  I heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing paper.  I used some yellow seam binding for the bow and the ribbon.  Very quick card to put together.

I'll be making more cards as I've bought about 32 of the new dies.  I'm still waiting to receive an order from Ink, Paper, Rubber of these dies too.  They should be here Tuesday.

That's it for today.  Take care everyone and God bless!
