Boo!

I saw this cute card on Pinterest the other day and I just had to copy it.

It's a very simple card to make.  I used a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch white card base.   For the next two layers, I glued a 4 X 5 1/4 piece of black card stock to a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of orange card stock.  I then wrapped those two layers with a piece of orange ribbon and a piece of black gingham ribbon.  I took two other pieces of ribbon to tie a knot.

Glue those layers to the white card stock.  Add googly eyes.  The card that inspired me had Boo stamped in white.  I used my Memory Box lower case typewriter letters and cut boo! out of a piece of white card stock.

Happy Birthday - Paint the town

I saw this card last week on Pinterest.

I knew I had the cityscape die cut from Memory Box, but I didn't think I had the sentiment.  So I headed to one of local scrapbook stores to ask about it and no, they were not familiar with the stamp.  So I went to another store and Jen looked up the sentiment and guess what?  It's from a Penny Black clear set called Paint the Town.   Jen promised she would look to see if she could order it for me.  As I drove home, I thought about it and decided I needed to check my Penny Black stamp sets.  Yes, I had it.  So I called Jen to let her know not to order it for me.  Just shows I have way too many stamps as I can't keep track of what I have :)

To get the "painted town" effect, I used my brayer with dye ink from Kaleidacolor.  I used the Spectrum stamp set.  I then cut on the cityscape with the Memory Box die.  The sentiment has been heat embossed onto the white with white embossing power.  The ribbon is from May Arts.

I'm sure I'm going to make up a couple more of these cards as I know of two birthdays coming up where I'll need cards for me to send.

Take care all and God bless!

Nutcracker Sweet

Happy Monday everyone!

I was so happy last week to finally get my hands on the Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet paper.  Ever since one of our local scrapbook stores showed pictures from CHA of this paper, I have had my name on the list to get the product when it arrived.  I knew I wanted to use it with the Lady Dancer die cut from Memory Box.

I just love her and the paper too.  I also used the Tiffany Frame die cut from Memory Box.  \

I'm crafting away today so I'll have more pictures of cards all week.

Have a great day and God bless!

Deer card for Christmas

Happy Sunday all!

As you can tell this last week I got lots of cards made.  I hope I do as well this coming week.

This card uses the new Memory Box deer die cut.

I used black and gold shimmer papers from The Paper Company for this card.  I used the negative image  from the black paper.  I embossed the Merry Christmas in gold embossing powder.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I added at each corner a gold glitter dome.

Yesterday, my friend Julie Case did a Halloween make n' take at the Scrapbook Page.  I stopped to see her and talk.  We really had a great time.  That card will be posted in the next couple of days.  I want to tweak it bit by putting some black stickles on it.

Take care and God bless!

Card and Scrapbook page for my friend's baby shower

Happy Saturday everyone!

Last night at The Scrapbook Page we had a scrapbook baby shower for our friend Shannon Bennes.  Shannon's baby is due October 31st.  This will be her fourth child.  Instead of gifts, we were to give Shannon completed scrapbook pages.

Now I'm better at cards then I am doing actually pages.  However, I do spend time online and I found a cute layout.  The bottom picture is my page I did for Shannon.  While Shannon has been carrying the baby, it's name has been pumpkin.  So I thought doing a fall related Welcome Home page would be appropriate for Shannon brings the little one home from the hospital.

The card is one I did earlier this week.  It uses the Petite Umbrella Memory Box die cut.  I also used Memory Box alphabet die cuts for the Welcome Home and for Pumpkin.  All designer papers are from BoBunny.

That's it for today.  Have a great weekend and God bless!

Bike Riding amongst the fall leaves

This card is similar to the project of the month on the Memory Box website.   I love my Memory box dies!
I stamped "Happy Everything" on this card.

This card used the debutante frame, brand new bicycle and orchard tree frame die cuts.

Have a great Friday and I'll be back tomorrow with another card.

God bless!

Thinking of you

I had a blast yesterday creating cards with my friends in my Wednesday group that meets at a local scrapbook store (The Scrapbook Page).

The store had their garage sale this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I made.  So part of the fun yesterday was using my store credit from the sale to purchase some new Memory Box and Poppy dies.

Here's a card I saw on Pinterest that I just had to copy.  It uses three dies from Memory Box.  I'm going to have to do more of this design and in different colors.  I can see using this design with other sentiments too.

I made seven cards yesterday with six different designs so I'll have more cards to share the next few days.

Have great day and God bless!

Black and Gold Christmas ornament

Happy Labor Day everyone!

What a great rain we had on Friday and Saturday.  According to the weather folks, my area of Kansas City, Kansas got almost five inches.  We may even get more rain tonight and again Wednesday morning.  I'm so ready for this drought to be over!

Here's a card I did and it was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  The white card stock is Georgia Pacific.  The gold and black papers are mirror card stock.

I used the Tessatina border die cut and two ornament die cuts from Memory Box.  The Merry Christmas sentiment if from Sweet n' Sassy.  I used baker's twine to hang the ornament.

Have a great day everyone and God bless!
