I'm attaching pictures of two cards. I didn't make these. but purchased them in a couple of grab bags of cards at Stamper's Ink used stamp sale this past weekend. The colors are so bright and cheery.
In the used stamp sale, Tanya had placed 10 cards in packages and sold them for $5.00. I bought many packages and the above two are my favorites. I have a lot of cards I have to put onto new cards stock, but my inventory of cards has definitely increased. The cards in the packages were from make n takes, class samples, and vendor samples. A lot of them have glue or tape on the back and that's why I've got to add different card stock to them.

The stamp sale was Friday and Saturday and I worked both days. I haven't worked two eight hour days since I retired in February and I felt it. Friday after standing at the cash register most of the day, I came home stiff and sore. I headed out to turn on the hot tub. Drats! The breaker had blown. So out to the box I went and turned the breaker back on. I checked the temp and it was only 86 degrees. I waited until the temp was back up to 100 and then was into the tub. Ahhhhh....I felt the stiffness and soreness leave my body.
Saturday wasn't so bad as I was able to sit at the store most of the day helping Tanya with the used stamp sales.

That was an experience. I saw one lady load up three baskets with "used" merchandise. Her bill was over $300 and the crazy thing is, I know that wasn't the largest total sale.
All in all, I enjoyed the experience.Tanya complemented me on how I handled the customers on Friday. She was happy with sales I was able to produce.
I guess I'll start working on those other cards. I'll be heading over to Ameristar to play my favorite poker game (Omaha Hi-Lo) tonight at 6 p.m. So if I want to accomplish something today I better get started.
God's blessing all!

I wanted to make a Riley graduation card with all materials purchased at Stamper's Ink in Shawnee Mission, KS which is the home of Riley and Company. The conGradulation stamp is from DRS.

Riley is colored with Copics (E33, E37, and B97). I used Zing Silver Glitter embossing powder for the collar on Riley. I colored the ribbon with Copic B97.

Riley can be ordered through http://www.rileyandcompanyonline.com/

Graduation is fast approaching for several nieces and nephews. Also, I know others that also have graduates this year...both from high school and college.

The card pictured here is for a niece who will be graduating from Mill Valley High School. I'm planning to do scrapbook pages for her and I found some paper that was specifically designed for Mill Valley. Scrapbook Page in Shawnee Mission KS carries paper for a lot of high schools and colleges in the area.

I believe I have captured the school colors in this card...blue and silver. The You Did IT! stamp is from Northwoods and so is the Class of 2010 stamp. My friend, Riley the Moose has posed as the graduate. This stamp is available through Riley Company Online or also can be purchased at Stamper's Ink in Shawnee Mission, KS.
If anyone would like to purchase this card let me know the school colors and I'll happily make them for you. If you don't want Riley, I can substitute a graduation gown and cap.

I loved my great niece Stella's birthday pictures that were posted last week on Facebook. Yesterday when I was at my local JoAnn's store I picked up flyer that a "FLY" scrapbook layout. After confirming with Sarah that Stella indeed was dressed up as a butterfly on her birthday, I did my own thing and made this scrapbook page. I really loved doing this one!

Here's Misty's birthday card. It's supposed to look like her dog Sebastian. The stamp is from Inky Antics and I bought the stamp set at Stamper's Ink in Shawnee Mission, KS.

It's been awhile since I updated the blog and I have been busy making a few cards and I did a scrapbook for my niece Misty of her dog Sebastian. So there will be several photos that I will add today.

This card is a retirement card I've done for a co-worker who is retiring from BCBSKC in May.
