This card is for my friend Ann for Friendship day. When I started at BCBSKC in 1984, Ann was the first person I worked with.

Ann loves butterflies so when I saw a sample of this card in one of the Australian magazines, I knew it would be perfect for her.

The stamp is from Stampendous. The butterfly was stamped using Brillance Pearlscent Orchid ink. I then used some chalk to some additional to the butterly. The paper is from a paper pack that Archiver's distributed sometime back. The flowers I believe are from May Arts. The embossing folder is from Sissix.

I'm behind with my updates as I have cards posted on Splitcoast that I said would be here. So time to catch up. This card is for my best friend Liz for Friend's day which is Sunday, August 1st. Liz and I have known each other for 35+ years. We both love cardmaking, gardening, watching birds (especially the hummers), and butterflies.

The stamp set of from Stampendous and it is an Archiver's exclusive. I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored the flower with Copics. The designer paper is from K&Company. The white, green, and orange card stock are Bazzil Bling. The hummingbird is from a Friskars punch which also purchased at Archiver's. The butterflies in the upper right corner are Dew Drops. The little jewels at the top of the flower are from Hero Arts from their Hero Hues line.

With Friendship day being Sunday, August 1st, I'm trying to make several cards to either give or send to my friends. As I said yesterday, I'm very blessed to have many friends who have helped me through life's challenges. I know I'm stronger for knowing them.

This card has no stamping. It uses three colors of card stock: dark blue, light blue, and green. Create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card base from dark blue card stock. Cut a light blue card stock to 4 x 5 1/4. Dry emboss the light blue piece in the Cuttlebug friendship folder. I applied Adirondack Denim ink to the embossed light blue piece.

I used Tim Holtz flourish die cut on green. I also used a Tim Holtz flower die cut to cut the flowers from the light blue card stock. I sponged more Denim ink to the flowers. After putting the card together, I put blue rhinestones from Hero Arts to the center of the flowers. I finished the card my spraying Glimmer Mist Irredesant Gold.

Not sure who will be receiving this card yet, but one of my friends will find out soon :)

For the last card today, I'm showing the card that I made to send to my sister, Kay in Ohio for National Sisters day which is the first Sunday of August. Both Kay and I were born in Kansas (I'm still in Kansas), but in 1969 she moved to Ohio. I thought I would use the Riley Dorothy stamp and the Toto saying from the last Riley and Company release. Since sunflowers are the Kansas state flower, I used the sunflower background paper. Since Dorothy has to have ruby red slippers, I used Candy Cane stickles on her shoes.
As always if anyone would like any of the cards or any other customized card for any occasion, please contact me via e-mail at WindyGEM@earthlink.net.
May God Bless you all!

This card was a make an take at Stamper's Ink on Saturday 7/17. The stamp is from Great Impressions. Inside the card I used the following stamp: "Life is like a walk in the sand, sometimes you flip and sometimes you flop". I added stickles (stardust) to the lei, the hibiscus, and the sunglasses. This card will go to one of my friends for National Friendship day which is Sunday, August 1st. I'm just not sure which friend will get it. I also know I need to make several more cards for Friendship day. I very blessed to have many friends.

My great nephew, Caden Waters, was hospitalized last week at Children's Mercy Hospital. Luckily he is feeling better and is now at home recoverying. I made this card for him and it will be in the mail to him tomorrow.

Riley with the wagon is another new stamp from the Summer Fun release for Riley and Company.
To make the sun I used yellow rick rack ribbon and added a yellow button. Can you believe that out of all the stamps I have, I don't have a "sun" stamp?

Bouncing RIley

As many of you know I work part time for Stamper's Ink and the store is home to Riley and Company. This past week there was a new release called Summer Fun. The stamp used on this card is Bouncing Riley. I was looking at Riley and Company's blog and saw this card made by Laurie and tweeked the coloring (Laurie had all the balls colored yellow) and I left off the ribbon. I also used glossy accents on the balls.

I'm proud to say that when I showed it to Tanya at Stamper's Ink, she wanted me to put it on display to help sell the stamp.

Hi everyone. I have five cards to share with you today. I'll post each separately. This first card I made for my sister, Kay, and her husband, Terry, 30th wedding anniversary which is tomorrow.

The pear is from Hero Arts stamp set Simply the best. The letters I used for "Perfect Pear" are from a letter set from Stampendous. The pears were stamped on green cards stock and cut out. I applied some Vintage photo distress ink to the pears and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist, Gold.

I've been busy making cards today.

The dog gone card is an idea I got from looking at cards at Archiver's. The stamps I used for this card are from Craft Lounge Pat the Bad Dog crafty clear stamps set. I reworked the stamp that originally said "A dog gone happy birthday". I used nestabilities to make the dog tag. Tuxedo Black Memento ink was used for the stamping and I used Copic markers for the coloring. The dog and bone were popped dotted to raise them on the card.

The bear stamp is from Penny Black. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the image and used Copic markers for coloring. I used Nestabilities and popped up the image on the card.

Here's another card that I've made using Sophie the moose this time. Sophine is from Riley and Company. The wishes are from Impression Obsession. Sophie was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.

This card will be a Make and Take soon at Stamper's Ink in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

I sincerely hope everyone is having a great summer.

Hi everyone. I'm surprised it's been a month already. I made this card a few weeks ago and showed it to Tanya at Stamper's Ink and she grabbed it so quick I didn't have a chance to take a photograph. It's going to be one of the six card for August quick cards.
Riley is of course from Riley and company. He was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.
The wester town background and the Happy Birthday Pardner are from a The Cat Pajama's company. The striped paper is from kaisercraft. I distressed the white card stock with Vintage photo distress ink.
