Christmas Candle

Good Morning everyone! This cute little image is called Christmas Candle and it's from Lili of the Valley stamps out of England. A similar layout was on the their inspiration blog a couple of days ago and I went with the basic concept. Instead of flowers I used the tree die cut from Marianne designs.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image on to Blend It - Express paper. It has been colored with Copics. The circle sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley.

The base card is white card stock from Bazzill and is 5 3/4 inches square. Next came a green Bazzill card stock and it is 5 5/8 inches square. Next came a 5 1/2 inch square piece of designer paper from Echo Park. I then used Labels 8 Nestability on the backside of a piece of dotted BoBunny card stock. The lace and rhinestones are from my stash.

I don't remember all the specific Copic markers I used as this sweet image was colored several weeks ago. I do remember to darken the red (probably R35), I did a wash of W5 on top of the red and then put the red on top of the W5.

Blessings everyone.

Birthday card for Kay

I just love Tilda stamps. This one is Tilda with Gift. My inspiration for this birthday card for my sister was found on the Just Magnolia site a couple of weeks ago and is by a design team member who goes by "Pops".

My sister's birthday is this Friday, 9/30.
The designer paper is from Authentique. I just love blues.

I stamped Tilda with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with my Copics. She was stamped on Blend It - Express paper.

I used a ticket stamp from Whimsey stamps and stamped in Paris Dusk Memento ink. The butterflies are Martha Stewart punches. The flowers are from Hero Hues and to color them I used different Glimmer mists. I put baby blue Stickles on the butterflies. Ribbon and lace are from my stash (oops forgot to add the bow...it will be there when the card is sent to my sister).

Copics used:
Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20 and white gel pin
Hair: E25, E33, E31, E50
Dress: B28, B26, B24, B21 with a wash of BG11
Socks and present: E44, E43, E42, E41

The letter's for my sister's name (KAY) are from Doodlebug.

Thanks for looking!

four cards

I've been taking quite a few classes since my last post. This picture shows four cards from Stamper's Ink's 10 Card One Page Wonders class.

The bottom right hand card is one I designed from paper and card stock for number 7. I never have any luck with the Nestability that we were to use, so I brought the pieces home and designed this card. I used Labels 4 to cut out the three labels in papers that match what was supplied. The "thinking of you" stamped image is from Verve stamps.

Most of the cards did not have anything stamped on them. This shows the three that had words and my design that also had words.

The next class of 10 Card One Page Wonders will be October 6th at Stamper's Ink. Those cards are using some cool Halloween papers. So if you want to make 10 easy cards for the price of $18, call Stamper's Ink and sign up. The cards are also on a display board in the store. These classes usually do sell out.

LOTV - Mary and Joseph

As promised here is my card for the LOTV challenge this week.

The designer papers are from Doodlebug and it's from a page pack that I bought from a local scrapbook store earlier in the day. I love anything blue and I thought the papers would work well with the card sketch.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.

Now to post this to the LOTV inspiration blog.

TFL!

Diago and Mojo

I haven't shared a picture of "my silly boys" in quite awhile. Diago is the one on the left and Mojo is on the right. They are two sweet Shih Tzu.

I'll be back in a few minutes with a picture of a card I completed today for another card challenge!

The other day on Facebook my niece, Allison, posted this cute picture of her son Caelum. In the post he said he wanted to grow up to be a cowboy and ride bulls. Allison, in typical Mom fashion, said no.

The cowboy hat and cowboy on the bull are die cuts from my Silhoutte.

Thanks everyone for looking at all of my postings today.

I was going to be heading to Biloxi tomorrow for a gambling junket, but because of Tropical storm Lee, I decided to stay home. So that means I'll have more time to do more cards.

Blessings to everyone!

Another Witch Tilda

I love my Magnolia stamps! Tilda is so playful. I've colored this cute Witch Tilda image using my Copics. The solid black paper is from Bazzill. The designer papers are from We R Memory Keepers, Spookville. Tilda was stamped on Cryogen white paper.

The saying on the inside of the card is a stamp from DRS. The caldron is a die cut image from my Silhoutte machine.

My next post will be of a scrapbook page I did for Caelum, a great nephew of mine.

Tilda in Autumn Leaves

Hello again!

Last Friday night I was cropping at The Scrapbook Page and I was at a group of tables with a part time employee of that store, Jodi. She was making pages from her wedding last fall with 12 X 12 paper from Bo Bunny called Forever Fall. I had the same 6 X 6 paper with me. I had Tilda colored but wasn't sure how to color the leaves so I flipped through the paper pad and saw the autumn leaf paper. I used it as a guide for coloring the leaves with my Copics. Not bad if I do say so myself.

Jodi had never made an easel card and wanted to see one made so I did this card.

I think it's pretty colorful.

Enjoy. I'll be back with more Tilda card and a scrapbook page.

Basic Grey Challenge - Scarecrow Tilda

Happy Sunday everyone!

This is the first of several posts today as I've been cropping and finished one other scrapbook page and several Tilda cards.

This one I did for the Basic Grey Challenge of Celebrations.

I used two different designer papers from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey paper pad that to me represented rich fall colors.

I printed the Celebrate Fall sentiment on my computer using the Broadway font that is in my Word program.

The solid papers are from Bazzill. The Tilda image was stamped on Cryogen White card stock and colored with Copics. The acorns and leaf buttons were given to me by a fellow crop attendee who agreed with me that the card needed something else on it. These were perfect.

Back later with a scrapbook page and one more card.

A scrapbook page for Jacob

Happy Saturday Everyone!

My great nephew, Jacob, son of my niece Amber, started first grade a couple of weeks ago. I saw this cute page layout at The Scrapbook page and I knew it would be perfect for Jacob's first day first grade pictures.

I'm going to start doing more scrapbook pages. To me a scrapbook page is a larger card so I should be able to them...Right!

Well, I cropped last night and colored several Tilda images so today, I need to do the cards.

Later!

Witch Tilda with Pumpkins

Happy Friday everyone!

As promised I do have a card for you today. I recently purchased a Silhoutte machine and am learning how to use it. I saw this cute pumpkin circle die cut and I thought it would be perfect for some Halloween cards. I pulled this cute Witch Tilda with Pumpkins from my stash of Maggie stamps (it's a big stash, LOL).

It so happens that at Just Magnolia blog the challenge is Anything Goes but use circles in your design. I'm sure my circle of pumpkins qualifies so this will be my entry in this week's challenge.

All solid color papers are from Bazzill. The designer paper is from My Little Shoe Box.

Copics used:

Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20

Vegas this past weekend

This past Saturday (August 27th) would have been my husband and my 34th wedding anniversary. I received a wonderful invitation from the Mirage in Las Vegas in July to go out to Las Vegas and to Sugarland in concert at the Mandalay event center. Even though Frank is no longer here on earth, I wanted to celebrate anyway so I made my reservations and flew out to Las Vegas last Friday. That evening I saw Ray Ramono of Everybody Loves Raymond fame. He was very entertaining and proved that comedians in Las Vegas can have a clean act...even for 10 p.m. in the evening.

Then Saturday evening the Mirage furnished transportation to and from the resort to Mandalay Bay for the concert. The concert was AWESOME. I've always loved Sugarland. So many hits! From Your Baby Girl to Incredible Machine. They even did some Dolly Parton (9 to 5), Neil Diamond (Sweet Caroline) and a few others where I don't remember who did the original.

If you get a chance to see Sugarland in concert. I highly recommend going!

It's taken me a few days to recover from my trip and now I'm back to making cards. I'm also learning how to use my Silhoutte machine. I should have some card pics soon!

Blessings everyone!
