Yaya's girl

Hi everyone!

I hope you had an excellent and blessed Thankgiving.  I also hope you took advantage of Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday.  I know I visited Ink, Paper, Rubber on Friday to take advantage of 30% off sale.  I also stopped at the Scrapbook Page and did some more shopping as well.  Yesterday was spent with lots of friends from BCBSKC who get together with Leanne Gorsuch, our favorite Stampin' Up demonstrator, to make cards.

Here's a card I completed on Friday for my cousin, Gai.  She wanted a special Christmas card for her granddaughter, Ruby.  Ruby calls Gai, Yaya which Gai tells me is German for grandma.   Ruby wears a pink tutu lots of the time.  So I knew I had to use this cute image from Lili of the Valley (LOTV) stamps call Make a Wish for Ruby's card.  I generated the sentiment on my computer and used some circle Nestabilities for it.  The tree die cut is a die cut from Marianne designs.  The paper is from K & Company.

I stamped the image using Memento ink and colored it with Copics.  Gold glitter was used on the stars and some fine white glitter was also used on the tutu.

Well, I have another craft show coming up this Friday at BCBSKC.  I'll be doing another card shower for Jim Lundy.  So I have to get busy making a bunch of Get Well and Thinking of You cards.  It's time to recheck my boards on Pinterest to get ideas for cards.

Take care and God bless!
