Happy Saturday everyone!
I sincerely hope you're having a wonderful weekend. It's going to be hot around here for awhile. I made sure I got an early start this morning to go get my new Memory Box die cuts. I'm really looking forward to making a bunch of cards using them.
Today's card utilizes one of the new fairy die cuts from Cheery Lynn. I found the sentiment in my stash of stamps so unfortunately I do not know the name of the company that produced the stamp. The designer paper is from Graphic 45. All other papers are from Bazzill.
Well best make this short and then I get downstairs to make cards using the new dies.
Have a great weekend and God bless!

Happy BIrthday with Hibiscus die cut
It's Friday!
Here's a card I finished up this week. It utilizes two die cuts from Memory Box. It uses the Hibiscus Flower and the Lorelei die cuts. I also used circle Nestabilities and a punch from SU.
The black and white papers are from Bazzill and the pink papers are one of my favorites from Bo Bunny.
I saw a similar layout on Pintrest. I sponged darker distress ink (the new Rasberry from Ranger) around the Hibiscus.
Take care all and God bless!

Fairy watching baby
Hi everyone.
Wow we had a big group yesterday at The Scrapbook Page for our weekly Wednesday get together. We had seven and three folks who usually show up weren't there. Our group has definitely grown.
Today's card was made last Friday night while I cropped at The Scrapbook Page. I used a Cheery Lynn die for the silhouette. The designer paper is from Graphic 45. All other papers are from Bazzill. I love the sweet little blue ribbon I used on this card. I don't know anyone who is going to have a baby boy. I wish the Lullaby paper came in pink as I have one niece and a nephew's wife who are expecting baby girls in September. Hopefully I can find some cute pink paper for those cards.
Take care all and God bless!

Faith makes thing possible
Happy Saturday everyone!
Here's a card I made earlier this week using my friend, Julie Case, Memory Box die cut called Swirl Tree. Such a simple card.
The polka dot paper is also from Memory Box. The sentiment is I believe from Pink by Design. How true of a statement. We all would like everything to be easy!
Take care all and God bless!

More Memory Box
Happy Thursday everyone!
I enjoyed my day yesterday with my friends at The Scrapbook Page for some crafting. My sister-in-law also joined us. She's a first time stamper. She's a real estate agent and she wanted to make some card to send to customers. She got four of the same design made! That's pretty good.
I got four card made myself. The above card is one of them. This card utilizes four die cuts from Memory Box, the Deer Trio, Grass, Twiggy tree and the red bird (forgotten the name).
Julie discovered the cloud paper and it's from Memory Box too. Otherwise all papers are Bazzill.
Take care all and God bless!

Another Memory Box Christmas card
Here's a card I designed the other day. I've used two Memory Box dies. The twiggy tree and perched bird. I love these two dies.
When we were together on Thursday, Julie took this idea and made a card that will be a Make n' Take at Scrapbook Page for Christmas in July...if they can get the dies in house by 7/7. Memory box is doing so well with selling their product that they hardly can keep up with their orders from their retailers. I know I have several more dies I want and can't wait for the local stores to get them into their shops.
The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The designer paper is from Martha Stewart. I've used Stardust Stickles on the paper that I tore to make look like there was several inches of snow.
Hope you are all having a great weekend. Take care and God bless.

HUGS
Hi everyone and hope you are having a great Friday.
Yesterday my friend, Julie Case, and I met at the Scrapbook Page to play with our dies. I was quite happy as I got five cards made and I also finished up 4 others that I had previously started.
Before I met Julie yesterday, I was playing around on Pintrest and found a card similar to the above. I thought how cool using the negative images of the butterfly. So while at the Page (my shorten version of the store's name), I found the flower designer paper which is from Echo Park. I then used one of my many butterfly dies from Memory Box to cut out the butterflies. Then I sponged some Distress Ink (Tea Dye) around the edges of the kraft card stock. I then took my white pen and drew the stitches. The "hugs" sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The kraft layer has been popped up onto the flower paper. The card base is white card stock. I really love this card.
That's it for today. I'm sure I'll be posting more of the cards I made yesterday later on as I've already taken pictures. God Bless!

Christmas in June?
HI all and happy Thursday!
I know it's crazy posting a Christmas/Winter card today. However, my friend Julie Case has been creating card samples for an upcoming class at The Scrapbook Page in Shawnee Mission for a Christmas in July class featuring the Memory Box Dies that the store carries. Cameron Elliott who owns The Scrapbook Page should have the next quarter's class schedule out soon. The class will have five Christmas/Winter cards and they are AWESOME! I saw all of them yesterday and even though I have all the dies, I'll still will be at the class. I can't tell you how easy this class is going to be for everyone. So if you're in the greater KC area contact The Scrapbook Page to see when the class will be and sign up!
We saw a similar card on Pintrest. Julie's sample does not have the Star of Wonder in the upper right hand corner as I just bought that die yesterday at Ink, Paper, Rubber store in Overland Park. (Hey, I'm an equal opportunity spender...I spend money at all independent craft stores and the big stores too).
We used a polka dot paper from Memory Box as the background. Then using a Nestability cut the shape and put the Deer Trio behind the red paper. Using a Martha Stewart punch, I punched the pine leaves (6) and then added three clear rhinestones.
Enjoy all and don't be surprised if more Christmas cards start showing up here on my blog. I'm a Christmas nut and maybe I'll feel cooler by making Christmas cards this time of year.
Take care everyone and God Bless!

Last Graduation card for 2012
Happy Tuesday!
I had one more request for a graduation card. This is for a young lady at our church who graduated #1 in her class from Sumner Academy here in Kansas City, Kansas. Laura Grace has an amazing story. She was born premature and wasn't given much of chance to survive. However, survive she did. She is active with choral groups and plays piano. She will be attending Baker University this fall.
Laura, all us wish you much success and know you'll succeed. Don't forget to use the bible that our church presented to you. It will be your most important book for seeking truths.
Have great day everyone and God Bless!

Birthday card
I made this card yesterday for my sister-in-law to give to our great niece, Addison, who celebrated her 5th birthday yesterday.
Addison is such a sweet little blonde girl. I couldn't make it to the celebration.
I cut the 5 out using my Silhouette SD machine. I used a pretty pink card stock from Bazzill for the base 5. The next level was some shiny cupcake paper from Best Creations.
I stamped Congratulations Tilda and scanned that image into my computer. I wanted her a little bit smaller than "normal", but not as small as a mini stamp. I then printed the smaller Tilda onto Cryogen White card stock and colored her with Copics.
I sure hope Addie enjoys her card from her "aunts".
Take care and God bless!

Country Landscape
Happy Sunday all!
It's going to be a fun Sunday. Have a recipe class later today. I also need to complete a couple of birthday cards for a great niece whose 5th birthday celebration is today. Also need to complete on Father's Day card for a friend.
Today's card features several dies from Memory Box. The clouds, the landscape and the heart are all dies from Memory Box. This is pretty much a complete copy of a card that is on Pintrest.
Well best get some lunch and then head downstairs and complete the cards.
Take care and God bless!

Another sympathy card
Happy Saturday everyone!
Had fun cropping last night with my friend Marge at the Scrapbook Page. It wasn't an official crop as not enough people had signed up, but we could still use the room until the store closed (9 p.m.) Got some things accomplished, but still have so many ideas in my head.
This card was not made last night. Instead it was made on Wednesday and it was inspired by a card I saw on Pintrest. That card did not use the Lorelei leaf die cut, but I made a very similar card. If you haven't gotten addicted to Pintrest yet, well what can I say except you are missing lots of inspiration.
The Lorelei leaf die cut is from Memory Box. The ribbon is May Arts. The sentiment is from Pink by Design.
Have a great day everyone, thanks for looking and God bless!

More Graduation cards
Happy Friday all!
I had a request from my sister-in-law for a few more graduation cards. These two are for twins who have graduated from Shawnee Mission North.
The young lady twin played baseball this year so for her card I used Baseball Tilda. For the young man, I used Graduation Edwin. Both stamps are from Magnolia stamps.
For the young lady's card, I cut out a graduation cap with 2012 from my Silhouette machine. For the young man's card I used some embellishments from TPC.
Take care all and I'll be back in the next few days with more cards!

Hibisicus Flower
Hi all!
Sorry this post is so late. I was working on cards this evening and didn't take pictures until a few minutes ago.
Here's a card that I made using the new Memory Box die cut called Hibiscus flower. All the new Memory Box and Poppy dies made it to the local stamping and scrapbooking stores this week. The sentiment is from Smooches. I've used BoBunny paper. It's pink on one side and pink with white polka dots on the other. Goes real well with the dotted Swiss pink May Arts ribbon.
I really love this new release of dies and there will be more cards using the dies over the next coming weeks.
Thanks for looking and God bless!

Wedding card
Happy Wednesday all!
I was asked to make a wedding card for a friend who works at The Scrapbook Page. Her sweet little daughter who's not 2 yet will be the flower girl at a wedding this weekend. I hope she brings back a video of her daughter. The bride's colors are peacock and silver.
I don't get to make many wedding cards, but I do have several stamps available for the task. I just love these children dressed up for a wedding! The stamp is called Wedding Couple and is from Lili of the Valley stamps. The sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley. I found some Peacock blue cardstock from Bazzill and used some silver shimmer paper. I'm not sure of manufacturer of the designer paper. I used a Memory Box die called Cherish Border to cut out the border from the Peacock card stock. All the little hearts are little "leftovers" from cutting the paper with the die. Flowers are from Hero Hues.
Copics used:
Skin: E11, E00, E000, R20, E0000
Groom's Hair: E35, E33
Groom's Top Hat and Trousers: T9, T7, T5.
Groom's shoes: E35, E33, E31,
Bride's Hair: Y26, Y21, E31
Pink Flowers: R83 and RV10
Ribbons: B04, B02
Green stems: YG03, YG01
Bride's Gown: C1 and C00
Ground: B02, B0000
Til next time...take care and God bless!

Old Dude
Happy Saturday everyone!
I took an Advanced Copic class Thursday night at the Scrapbook Page in Shawnee Mission, KS. let by Barb Foster. The reason why I took the class was to make this card with this image from Artistic Impressions.
I was able to get the three images for all three cards colored in class, but did not get the cards put together. So last night I went to the crop at the Scrapbook Page and put the cards together. I got to the point where I was ready to put the sentiment onto the card and said outloud that it would be better to have ZZZs coming out of the guy's mouth. Well, my table mate was the Scrapbook Page's Silhouette expert (I have the machine) so Mo (Monika Ogilive) said she would help me make the ZZZs. So I whipped out my laptop and we created them. I did not take my Silhouette with me, but Monica was kind enough to let me attach hers to my lap top and away we went. All the other ladies at the crop loved this card.
I just love this guy! Don't we all know some guy like him? It's going to make a cute Father's Day card for someone. Hopefully one of my customers will see the post here or on Facebook and purchase this card.
This card uses three solid colors of card stock from Bazzill (Moss, Nightmist, Palm). The designer paper is from We R Memory Keepers. The sentiment is also from Artistic Impressions. The only other change I did on this guy was to color his small amount of hair grey (C3) instead of black (T7, T5, T3). Here's a list of the other Copics used:
Skin: E11, E00, E02 (cheek) E000
Shirt/Socks: G82, G28
Pants: B97, B93, B91
Shoes/chair handle: E29, E25, E23
Chair: E87, E84, 0 blender
Chips bag: Y26, Y21, Y32, (G28, G82 for the stripe)
Remote: T7, T5, C1 for buttons for all but one button which was R37.
Take care all and God bless!

Another Sympathy card using Memory Box Poppy
Happy Friday everyone!
What a beautiful morning this morning here in Kansas City, KS. Love the cooler temps!
Today's card is another sympathy card that I made for my sister in law. Again it features using the Memory Box Poppy Die. I've cut it out of Bazzill black card stock. The base card uses Coordinations white bling paper. The other papers are designer papers from Echo Park. The sentiment stamp is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.
Have a great day everyone.
