Yesterday a friend and I went over to the scrapbook store that is closing and then over to another stamp store. The stamp store had a card using Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper and a they used the Spellbinders lovely floral oval die cut with gold metallic paper. So I had to come home and make my own card using Graphic 45 paper too.
I love Graphic 45 paper and I seem to hoard it instead of using it. However, I have bought extra. Even so I cringied as I started to use it. My card is 5 1/2 inch square card made from dark blue SU card stock from their current in-color line. My next layer is gold metallic paper. Then comes the Graphic 45 paper. I then made a strip to go across the card and tied some pretty blue seam binding to it. I added some blue rhinestones at the top right hand corner. I used a Hero Arts sentiment in the both right hand corner.
I'm making a few Mother's day cards. I hope to be in a craft show on May 4th at a local elementary school. I sent my application in last week. Applications are due April 19th so I'm hoping they still have room for me. I figure I'm going to concentrate on some Mother's day, teacher appreciation, and graduation cards for the sale. I'll keep everyone posted to whether I'm accepted as a vendor.
